Dialer integration

Dialpad + OutboundManager

Count outbound Dialpad calls and connected calls for every rep in the company on one scorecard.

Connects with an API key. 7-day free trial, then $27 a month. Never sends outreach for you.

Why connect Dialpad

  • Calls and connected calls per rep on the scorecard, next to email and LinkedIn
  • A call to a known contact counts as a touch for deal attribution
  • One weekly report that includes call activity

What we sync

  • Users, as dialer seats
  • Outbound calls for the whole company, with outcome (connected, short call, voicemail, missed)
  • The contact's email and name when Dialpad has them
Rep scorecard: four reps with sends, LinkedIn touches, replies, meetings, pipeline and won revenue, each shown against a weekly target

The rep scorecard. With a dialer connected, each rep also gets calls and connected calls. Demo data.

How to connect Dialpad

  1. In Dialpad, a company admin goes to Admin Settings → My Company → Authentication → API keys and creates a company-level API key with the calls:list scope.
  2. Use a company key. A user-level key only returns that user's own calls.
  3. In OutboundManager, an admin opens Settings → Connections and clicks Add connection.
  4. Pick Dialpad. Paste the API key, click Test, then Save. The key is checked against the tool before it is stored, encrypted.
  5. Open Settings → Reps & senders and give each dialer seat a rep, so calls land on the right row of the scorecard.

Good to know

  • Inbound calls are skipped.
  • Connected means the far end picked up, the call did not end in voicemail, and talk time was at least 10 seconds. Dialpad cannot tell a person from an answering machine on outbound calls.
  • If the key cannot list users, seats are taken from the calls themselves.

Dialpad questions

Why a company-level key?

Dialpad returns every call in the company only to company keys. A personal key would show one rep's calls.

Can OutboundManager change anything in Dialpad?

No. It only reads from Dialpad. It never creates campaigns, sequences or messages on its own.

How often does it sync?

Every connection syncs once an hour. The first sync backfills up to 90 days, so the dashboards are useful the same day. Large backfills can take more than one run; each run picks up where the last one stopped.
